Windchimes (Wind Chimes) & Weather
In addition, Northwesterly winds along the Atlantic Coast may indicate a cold front is approaching. Windchimes (Wind chimes) not only indicate the direction of the wind but the magnitude as well which can be determined by how much it is leaning. If the wind comes from the north or northwest it may mean a storm or colder weather is on the way. If the wind is from the south it may indicate milder weather is coming. By strategically hanging several windchimes (wind chimes) you can hear the general direction of the wind and the rate at which the clapper strikers the windchimes (wind chimes) can give you an estimate of the wind speed.
